XeroRisk supports the Drinking Water Safety Plans legislation enacted by the Drinking Water Inspectorate in response to the World Health Organisation Clean Drinking Water programme. XeroRisk provides an environment in which corporate governance risks and operational risks can be managed within the same framework as the DWSP, however you implement the DWSP audit requirements.
Using flexible operational assessment criteria, risks at the catchment area, water treatment works, distribution network and customer premises can be modelled, tracked and mitigated. By careful construction of the DWSP hierarchy auditing under the DWI and Ofwat regulatory returns can be simplified whist still ensuring complete control of the DWSP risks.
Measurement and control criteria can be defined at any point in the DWSP hierarchy to cascade down, ensuring assessment against common categories and escalation levels. However, exceptions can be defined where a specific need exists to monitor a risk without negating the requirement to ensure corporate governance against common criteria.
